For a couple of months now, rumors have been swirling that the one and only Beyoncé would voice Nala in the upcoming live action version of "The Lion King." Well we don't have to speculate anymore—Beyoncé announced the news on Wednesday via her Facebook account. Disney also confirmed the official cast via Twitter.
The star singer will join Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Scar, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi and a bevy of other big name actors for the Disney remake. Check out the full cast below.
Though we're still confused as to how this film will be executed—are they going to be humans dressed as lions? We already know that we will spending out money on movie tickets to see this movie either way, possibly more than once.
The Lion King hits theaters on July 19, 2019.
