U.S.-based Catalyst for Peace, and organization that "seeks out and supports grassroots peace building.... from local practices and culture," has gathered several diaspora musicians for Wan Fambul/One Family.The album serves as a companion to the Fambul Tok(Krio for “family talk”) documentary and book on the "work of Fambul Tok in Sierra Leone that brings former adversaries, perpetrators, and victims together for community discussions in a traditional setting."
Featured in the album are some of our favorite artists, including "next generation of Turareg blues" Bombino, Vieux Farka Touré, Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars, Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew,Saba Saba, and more.
