South African TV Personality Anele Mdoda Will Host the Oscars' Red Carpet
Anele Mdoda has secured the bag and will be rubbing shoulders with Hollywood royalty.
Anele Mdoda is a South African TV personality who is currently the presenter of the the South African version of The Voice. She has been chosen by the television giant M-Net, to host the Oscars' red carpet on the 24th of February.
Mdoda is excited to be this year's host for the Oscars' red carpet. She is a fanatic of the Oscars and recalls her devout following of the glamorous event saying:
"I have watched the Oscars every year and the most memorable moments for me were when Denzel Washington and Sandra Bullock won, and when Charlize won - and gave South Africa a shout out."
According to SowetanLIVE, Mdoda is particularly keen to speak to film veteran Spike Lee, the beloved cast of Black Panther (Wakanda forever!) as well as Mahershala Ali who has been nominated for his role in Green Book. Mdoda added that she hopes to be able to congratulate Bradley Cooper for his performance alongside Lady Gaga in A Star is Born. Add to that, of course, all the fabulous designers the celebrities will be donning on the night.
