Al Da 3rd showcases Anatii's production in his latest MXD mix.
Anatii is one of South African hip-hop's super producers. Massive hits such as DJ Speedsta's "Special Somebody," Cassper Nyovest's "Destiny," his and AKA's "10 Fingers," L-Tido's "When it Rained," Riky Rick's "Fuseg" and countless others all bear his credits.
Anatii started his career in his teen ages, producing for rappers like L-Tido and Morale under the moniker Thuderkat in the late 2000s.

Anatii told this writer last year about his involvement with the aforementioned artists and the group Jozi:
"It's a blessing to have collaborated with Bongani in a way that people don't know. He always tells the story, when they were working on the song 'On Fire.' When they were working on that, he called me like, 'yo man, I need to know how to do that thing with your voice. How do you do the auto tune?' And I spoke to him on the phone and I ran him through it. I was in high school, and I'm speaking to Bongani Fassie, like, 'just do this, just do that,' and ever since then, we always share that moment, it's a special story. But back then, I was young, and they would never put me on, especially for Jozi, but I was around and I'd see them work, that's how I bumped into guys like L-Tido and Morale because they were around. So they would work on my beats."
Now a fully-fledged superstar artist in his own right, Anatii has released two studio albums (2016's Artiifact, 2018's IYEZA) and another with AKA Be Careful What You Wish For (2017). All those albums were predominantly produced by Anatii himself. His albums and productions have always been evolving. His sound was heavily-influenced by crunk in his early years, then trap followed. Currently, Anatii draws a lot from vintage South African genres like mbhaqanga in his production.
