Africa Fashion Week New York's second day is on everyone's lip. As one of the hottest diaspora fashion events of this summer, they set off the beating heart of New York City's afropolitans. AFWNY has kept growing these last few years and continues to provide another flavor to the fashion world. On Day 2, we were impressed by the number of creative minds involved and the way the runway unfolded. The designers, once again, dazzled the audiencewith original cuts. African prints were the liaison between the three designers. Don't get us wrong, we love African prints but we had a bit of déja vu — we'd love to see the designers take more risks with their fabrics. Among the featured lines were Ms. Ray Couture by Anthonia Raymond and Aliakim by Mikaila Brown. Our favorite was definitely Demestiks NY by Reuben Reuel who brought class and beauty with nice cuts.
