Announcing 'Gold & Soul,' An Evening With Adekunle Gold & DJ Poizon Ivy

We're excited to announce Gold & Soul, the 4th edition of OkayAfrica's annual show at Lincoln Center's Out of Doors summer concert series, going down on August 8.

Nigerian singer-songwriter Adekunle Gold will be taking over the stage with his signature blend of urban highlife and pop-infused songs. Proudly weaving together Yoruba, English and Pidgin English, Adekunle Gold's soulful Afropop will keep you feeling inspired all night long.

DJ Poizon Ivy, the official DJ of the Dallas Mavericks and the first female mixer to grace the airwaves at her local radio station, WKKV-FM, will kick things off with her irresistible afrobeats and hip-hop mixes.
