Afropop Worldwide's 25th Anniversary Gala w/ Bassekou Kouyate

From its beginnings as an NPR radio show APWW coined the term "afropop" and gave an American audience exposure to the sounds of  Youssou N’Dour, Angelique Kidjo, Cesaria Évora, Thomas Mapfumo and several others. For their 25th anniversary, Afropop Worldwide is throwing a gala concert with Mali's ngoni virtuoso Bassekou Kouyate. The night will also feature performances from Omer Ehsas, Mamadou Kelly, the Ali Farka Toure Band and a rare acoustic set by Congolese legend Samba Mapangala. See all the event's information in the flyer below and grab your tickets!
