Osekre & The Lucky Bastards 'Mama Told Me'

Osekre & The Lucky Bastards release their newest African music song titled "Mama Told Me" and announce date for upcoming NYC performance.

Osekre & The Lucky Bastards 'Mama Told Me'

If the spirits of Fela Kuti and The Clash could come together, they might manifest in Ghanaian-American afropunk Osekre. Osekre and his band The Lucky Bastards came together to produce a meaningful mash-up of afropop rhythms with punk-like vocals in their newest track titled "Mama Told Me." The song comes to life with afrobeat-stemming percussive elements backed by a rhythmic guitar, bouncing horn section, and brought together by mama's words of wisdom. This refreshing energy suits the whole family, keeping feet and heart happy as Osekre finally gives us a reason to move to mom's lessons. Listen to the 'cloud below to hear the loving sounds and make sure to check out Osekre and the Lucky Bastards in-person, with guest MEAN LADYthis Friday Aug. 9th 9PM at Joe's Pub.
