Perfect Loosers is a three-member project born two years ago in a warehouse in the suburbs of Paris where fashion designer MC Sigisbert created his clothes, graffiti artist Mast was painting, and DJ/producer Waly was cooking up music. The crew was recently visited by the folks from Akwaaba Music, who brought with them a collection of songs by artists Ahmed Fofana, Baba Salah and Onyenze, acquired during a trip to West Africa. Perfect Loosers were immediately inspired to remix these songs, and proceeded to assemble Akwaaba Remixed, an album of remixes from different producers and DJs around the world. The result is a diverse blend of club aesthetics and African traditions.
