Wizkid Performs 'Joy/No Woman No Cry' On BBC Radio 1Xtra's Live Lounge

This morning DJ Edu and DJ Trevor Nelson presented the first in BBC's series of programming coming from Lagos this week and none other than Wizkid stopped by the studio. The Live Lounge session marks the start of BBC Radio 1Xtra's Destination Africa (March 24-30) program presented by the London-based DJ Edu, whose latest special features highlights and interviews from a recent trip to Lagos. Opening with his original number "Joy," Wizkid shows out nicely over live instrumentation and an infectious reggae groove as he sings about his relationship with his mother before seamlessly transitioning into a rendition of Bob Marley's “No Woman No Cry.” Look out for Wizkid's sophomore album due out later this year. In the meantime, catch Wizzy (who was recently announced as a special guest on Tinie Tempah's UK tour) on Destination Africa's Live Lounge session below.
