Nigerian newcomer Dunnie covers Wizkid and Femi Kuti's 'Jaiye Jaiye' collaboration on her acoustic version.

Femi Kuti & Wizkid's 'Jaiye Jaiye' Acoustic Cover From Newcomer Dunnie

Nigerian newcomer Dunnie found one way to grab our attention. The Abuja-based soulstress recently introduced herself by way of a stripped down cover of one of our favorite tracks of the past year, the massive cross-generational Femi Kuti/Wizkid collab "Jaiye Jaiye." On her mellow-cized (albeit still foot friendly) makeover, Dunnie belts over campfire guitar-lines in lieu of the original's staccato-laced saxophone lines and Wizzy's signature dancefloor call. Listen/download the acoustic "Jaiye Jaiye" below and look out for more covers from Dunnie. We hear this is the first in a series to come.
