My Africa Is: The Lagos Chronicles

The documentary web series 'My Africa Is' premieres its first season, 'The Lagos Chronicles,' with WeCyclers recycling.

My Africa Is: The Lagos Chronicles

Today marks the online premiere of the "Lagos Chronicles", the latest stop in the My Africa Is documentary series. While raising awareness on challenges within African communities, the series’ insider’s perspective sheds the sort of sympathy cards we love to hate on. Rather, stories of innovation and victories are the cornerstone of these chronicles. In the first of three episodes we are introduced to an ubuntu-based solution to the waste management crisis in one Lagos community, as co-founder of the WeCyclers project, Bilikiss Abioloa, discusses her role in creating change through an incentive-based recycling initiative. Watch the full episode below.
