7. KWABS

Kwabena Sarkodee Adjepong, who goes by the rather British abbreviation Kwabs, is perhaps the most famous student of Jazz at London's Royal Academy of Music. His career is still young but his talent is full-grown and it's taken him to  Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and onto the BBC where he sang the Negro spiritual 'Motherless Child' to the nation. He's covered songs by Corinne Bailey Rae, and James Blake's (although his version of 'The Wilhelm Scream' is not so much a cover as a brand new - and better -song) and his own gospel-inflected tracks showcase his mesmerising vocals. Follow him on tumblr to keep track of his dreams and doings.
