Edinburgh Newcomer LAW Covers Young Fathers' 'I Heard'

Newcomer LAW (aka Lauren Holt) landed hard on our radar today with her cover of Young Fathers "I Heard"– one of our Top Songs of 2013. A collaborator and close friend of the YF crew, the Edinburgh-based DIY R&B/art-rapper recently appeared on Vic Galloway's BBC Radio Scotland. Her rendition of the original trotting lullaby showcases a phenomenal range of reasons to keep an ear out for the name LAW– alternating from foreboding synth and electro-fuzzy hip-hop to a voice that stops rooms dead in their tracks. Watch LAW's cover of "I Heard" below and find her debut EP Haters & Gangstersover here.
