Nigerian/Kenyan electro-fusion artist Seye has been busy adding his eclectic sensibilities to a range of different projects. He's been on tour with Damon Albarn this summer as the guitarist in Albarn's new live band The Heavy Seas. Not to mention last month we premiered "Tough Bond Theme," his most recent team effort with The Very Best. The song came from the soundtrack that the frequent collaborators created for the Kenyan glue huffing documentary Tough Bond. Now the multi-instrumentalist is back with "Bayonet," a breezy, spirit-lifting tune. Kicking off with tight harmonized background vocals that jump in and out throughout the track, "Bayonet" features a bouncy bass line, crisp drums and some peppy keyboard action that are all tied together with buttery-smooth vocals coming in from Seye. British graphic designer Christian Tailor adds his artistic talents to the project, creating accompanying visuals which play like a neon-filtered lyric video whose animated simplicity emphasizes the uplifting message of the track. Watch the video for Seye's rhythmically-soothing "Bayonet" below.
