Audio: Celebrate International Women's Day With 'Mama Creator'


How better to celebrate International Women's Day than with "Mama Creator" a new track from a collection of United Nations Population Fund and MDGFive artists including Emmy-winning filmmaker Lisa Russell, Grammy-winning singer (and OKA modelMaya Azucena, and a host of Tanzanian stars such as Lady Jay Dee, Mzungu Kichaa, Mrisho Mpoto, FidQ, Mama C, and others. "Mama Creator" was written and recorded in Dar es Salaam to raise awareness about the maternal health situation in Tanzania. Persistent high maternal deaths and disabilities are one of Tanzania’s greatest development challenges: Tanzania is one of 11 countries that comprise 65 per cent of all maternal deaths worldwide.
