Wizkid took home three trophies at last night's Billboard Music Awards—well, figuratively, as the musician wasn't actually in attendance for the show.
The Nigerian artist was nominated for seven awards for his massive 2016 Drake collaboration "One Dance." He won for "Top R&B Song," "Top Streaming Song (Audio)," and "Top R&B Collaboration."
Last week, we listed "seven things that Wizkid should do now that he's blowing up," which included launching a liquor line and featuring Drake on one of his own singles, but only use his vocals at a really low volume in the chorus.
Speaking of Drake, the rapper had a memorable night, taking home 13 awards and becoming the most-awarded artist in a single year. It seems that "One Dance" was a rather fruitful collaboration for the parties involved.
Congrats to Starboy!
