Kendrick Lamar Is Producing the Official Soundtrack For 'Black Panther'
Kendrick Lamar and TDE will oversee the production of the "Black Panther" soundtrack, hear the lead single featuring SZA now.

We didn't really need any other reason to be absolutely ecstatic about the upcoming release of Black Panther, but today, we were given one anyway.
It's been announced, that none other than hip hop giant, Kendrick Lamar and his TDE record label family, will curate the film's soundtrack. The rapper was commissioned by director, Ryan Coogler to spearhead the musical component of the highly-anticipated film—not a bad choice at all, Mr. Coogler.

The soundtrack's lead single also dropped today and it features fellow TDE member, SZA.

We seriously cannot wait to hear what else Kendrick has in the works. His singular, musical vision paired with—what already looks like—a cinematic masterpiece, is sure to make for a stellar combo.
Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Guria, Daniel Kaluuya, and a bevy of other talented black actors, drops February 16, but you probably already knew that.
