CLARISSE IRIBAGIZE
OkayAfrica's 100 Women celebrates African women who are making waves, shattering ceilings, and uplifting their communities.
Clarisse Iribagize is breaking barriers for young, African women techies. She attended the University of Rwanda and attained a degree in Computer Engineering. However, it was during an incubation program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she conceptualized how she could creatively apply what she was learning to provide solutions to society’s problems.
In 2010, at the age of 22, Clarisse founded HeHe Limited which is an Information Technology research company. Iribagize’s Rwandan-based mobile and technology research lab helps businesses reach their audience in more efficient ways by using technology.
HeHe Limited’s slogan is “Invent the Future” and it is very clear the CEO's forward thinking mindset is placing her at the forefront of Rwanda’s tech industry and positioning her to have more global influence. —MB
