For the first time in Netherlands history, The Sarenco Foundation and Amsterdam's Red Stamp Art Gallery presented the solo work of Tanzanian artist Mikidadi Bush, featuring his eye opening gallery titled "Shaman's Beauty Shop." This transcendental body of work features seventeen enamel paintings depicting interpretations of contemporary culture through a surrealist, dreamlike lens. Projecting a visual story, these powerful images intertwine a spiritual realm with the past, present, and future. From mystical mermaids to man eating serpentines, Bush provides a truly shamanistic perspective through these beautiful expressions, bringing a fresh yet wise spirit to contemporary art culture.
