This weekend, Nairobi will host the Africa Nouveau Festival, a 2-day event "designed to showcase the most innovative, trend-setting artists on the continent." Presented by Blankets & Wine, the festival will bring together some of our favorite names in music, fashion and "culi'n'art" (art & food) on September 5 & 6 at the Ngong Racecourse.

Featured in the dazzling lineup are the Kenyan electronic pop outfit Just A BandSouth Africa's Fantasma (of which both Spoek Mathambo & DJ Spoko are members), 'Ancestral Soul' maestro Boddhi Satva, Nairobi powerhouse Muthoni The Drummer Queen,  Ghanaian 'afro-hypno-sonic' singer Jojo Abot, Angola's DJ Satelite, Electrafrique's own DJ Cortega, Kenyan street style duo 2manysiblings, and many more.
