Okayafrica DC for MLK Day!

Come to our African dance music party in DC for MLK Day!

Okayafrica DC for MLK Day!

Okayafrica expands into DC once again with it's specially curated event by DJ UNDERDOG, celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. through dance, ritual, celebration, and cultural exchange.

Okayafrica DC touches down on MLK DAY once again at Tropicalia DC with the sounds resident spinner DJ Underdog, who will provide sounds that are mind-wide and foot-friendly, while DJs Jahsonic and Sam "The Man" Burns accompany the mood of the night. Come dance in this ritual with DC's own Urban Artistry artists and dancers, live drummers and a special DANCE PACK GIVEAWAY from Okayafrica on Jan. 16. Trust me, if you've been before then you know the drill! Love!

Anything is fair game, but you will probably hear some afrobeat, tribal house, kwaito, kuduro, South African house, zouk, soukous, club, house remixes and coupe decale. No pretensions, no commercial radio nonsense, and no laptops allowed. Learn more about Okayafrica Wednesdays by following our Facebook and Twitter. See all info in the flyer below!
