Afrobeats Meets Grime in This New Jam From Atumpan & Big Narstie

Ghanaian singer Atumpan teams up with UK grime star Big Narstie for the afrobeats meets grime banger "We Like It."

Afrobeats Meets Grime in This New Jam From Atumpan & Big Narstie

Atumpan is coming in hot from the release of his club single “Watch Nobody” earlier this summer.

The Ghanaian singer returns today with “We Like It,” an afrobeats meets grime dance floor collaboration with UK grime star Big Narstie.

The new single is a hotpot of dance rhythms that build on Atumpan’s West African influences—there’s mentions of azonto and shoki in there—with Big Narstie sounding right at home over the afrobeats and dancehall concoction.

Along with the single, the pair are sharing a video of them performing Atumpan’s big hit “The Thing” and “We Like It” for a packed crowd at Reading Festival.

Peep the video to see Atumpan and a shirtless Big Narstie perform their afrobeats and grime—(Afrogrime?... nope, I’ll show myself out)—track to the UK masses.
